Deep Dive EPR for WEEE, batteries and packaging
If you sell electrical equipment containing batteries into European countries, you are likely a “producer” and therefore must register, finance collection/recycling, label products and provide specific consumer information. Non-compliance can lead to listing removals, fines and sales bans.
What we will cover in this seminar:
- Who is responsible (manufacturers, producers, importers, distributors) and how responsibility is allocated when you sell cross-border.
- Concrete producer obligations for:
- WEEE (registration, labeling, reporting, financing take-back),
- Batteries (including the EU Battery Regulation — registration, labeling, replaceability of batteries),
- Packaging (including PPWR - declaration of conformity, design or recycling & registering/reporting obligations).
You will learn what to do before you list a new product. By discussing examples of Germany, France, UK and other European countries and explaining main differences, we will show typical workflows and what is necessary to act compliant.
