The future of international trade in electrical equipment
It is no secret that the amendment of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) at the latest will change a number of things for manufacturers.
In the future, German companies that sell their products in other European countries will have to provide detailed information about their sales markets and their respective authorized representatives. And this needs to be done already in the first step – together with the registration.
Our neighbors Austria and the Netherlands, but also Sweden, Finland and Spain, for example, already handle their registration procedures in this way.
In Germany, the only requirement so far is that an authorized representative must be presented abroad – in general and upon request by stiftung ear.
