Amazon recently introduced new measures to increase product safety on the platform.
These measures require all sellers, including Seller and Vendor, to ensure that their products and packaging comply with applicable laws and adhere to product safety and compliance guidelines.
To ensure products are compliant, Sellers must provide proof of product compliance and upload the required information by the established due dates. The deadline for submitting evidence depends on the product category. Sellers should therefore find out in advance the specific requirements for their product category.
However, as a general rule, evidence must be uploaded within 90 days from the date of the initial request. If the proofs are not uploaded within the deadline, there is a risk of suspension of listings on Amazon. This can negatively impact sales and hurt sellers' bottom lines.
Through these changes, Amazon wants to ensure that products on the platform meet the highest security standards. Customers should have more confidence in the products on Amazon as a result of the measures and be able to rely on the fact that they comply with the applicable laws.
We would be happy to advise you on your requirements around product safety and compliance. If you have any questions or are interested, please feel free to send us a request without obligation.
