Brexit: Implications for companies exporting to the UK
On 31st January, Great Britain left the European Union. Since then, an eleven-month transition period has been underway to finalize the negotiations about the future relationship between the UK and the EU.
During the transition phase, which will be in force until the end of 2020, manufacturers, dealers and importers of electrical and electronic products who are not based in the UK won’t experience any changes.
However, what the legal situation will be like in Great Britain for companies that want to sell products there in 2021, e.g. from Germany, has not yet been determined at this point in time.
