The European WEEE registers network (EWRN) published guidance documents with product exclusions of the new WEEE regulation. The aim is to give producers guidance with regard to the registration process and requirements and to help them clarify if the law affects their company.
For every case there are explanatory documents including decision-making trees. For the following five product groups the documents are available:
large-scale stationary industrial tools
large-scale fixed installations
means of transport
non-road mobile machinery
medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices
The exclusions apply on an EU-wide basis. They are one of the few regulations of the WEEE directive which is implemented in a standardized way in every country.
